Caroline Wood
I am Caroline and I love food businesses and more importantly the food they create! My food career got off to a flying start when I joined the Royal Australia Air Force and became a catering officer. While I was on the management side, my absolute favourite part of the day was spending time with the chefs seeing them develop and create delicious meals that bought a smile to the people they were feeding.
I wandered off in to the world of accounting after leaving the Air Force. I honed my business skills and learnt to love numbers becoming a chartered accountant.
But my love of food kept lurking at the back of my mind. I took the plunge a couple of years ago and started a food blog but really my strengths are in eating (not creating) great food and helping others create businesses that make that great food, using the accounting and business skills I have picked up in my years in accounting.
After seeing many aspiring business owners give up on their dreams before really getting started, I have created The Ingredients of Business to simplify the start up process and share the necessary ingredients to produce both a delicious product and a tasty turnover.
I have cooked up the Food Incubator – a club for foodie entrepreneurs, and share tips and tricks through my blog. Where needed I provide one-on-one coaching to tackle those big problems
I am completely selfish in wanting you to grow a fabulous food business – I want to be able to buy and eat your fabulous food. And to do that we need to make sure your business blossoms and creates the lifestyle you desire.
Managing a food business really can be a piece of cake – when you know what you are doing. To find out more of the ingredients you’ll need, and keep up to date with what else I am creating, sign up to my newsletter.
What I am doing when I am not helping food businesses flourish?
When I am not helping out food businesses you can find me eating great food (obviously), slurping on good coffee with friends, hanging out with my crazy puppies (they have been know to appear on instagram) and reading cozy mystery stories.
